How To Take Advantage Of 1 Day Auction Listing On Ebay

Ebay recently introduced a new feature called 1 day listing that is extremely useful for ebay sellers. Contrary to the belief of many ebay sellers, a one day listing can generate far more profits than a long 10 day auction listing.

To understand how to take advantage of this, you first need to understand the mentality of the average buying ebayer. Most buyers visiting ebay are looking for a deal. Once they locate it, they will bid for it and will want to know the result of their bid immediately. If they are the winner of an auction, they want to have the product immediately.

Most buyers on ebay usually buy on impulse rather than logic Therefore as a seller, it is much better to place a one day auction so you can impose a sort of time period on your buyers. Your potential buyers will also realize this and will compel them to take action by bidding and maybe even start a frenzy bidding war!

So when should you offer a 1-day auction?

So, what is the user’s recourse? The users of eBay must learn to gather information and take meticulous care in dealing on eBay. Only then can they be less gullible to scammers. How To Price Your E-book On Ebay For Maximum Profits

I'm sure you know it is getting more and more difficult to sell any kind of information products on ebay. Gone are the days when you could buy the resale rights from a product creator, put it on ebay and wait for the cash to roll in. It just doesn't happen anymore.

Before I go into how to price your ebook or any kind of information product on ebay, let's first examine the reasons why it is so hard to sell. In my opinion, there are two major reasons.

Reason 1 : Every man and his dog is selling the same stuff on ebay.

I'm sure you have seen this on ebay, the same product can be found selling anywhere from $50.00 to less than $1.00. 99 per cent of people selling information products on ebay are resellers, meaning they brought the resale rights from either the product creator or from other resellers. What 90 per cent of them will do is to list the products and start pricing them as low as possible to undercut each other on pricing. This happens so much to the point where it is no longer profitable at all.

How To Ensure You Get Bidders For Your Ebay Auctions

I remember when I first started selling on ebay 5 years ago, I did not get any bids at all on my first 8 ebay auctions. Regardless of what others may say about people making tons of money selling on ebay or people making a full-time income on ebay, I could not sell a single item. Fast forward to today, I have managed to get a 90 percent closing rate on my auctions.

That means out of 10 items I auctioned, 9 will get bids. It took me a long time to realize the mistakes I made and gradually over the years, I learned and tested which auctions will get bids and which doesn't. There are too many reasons why auctions don't get bids. I won't be able to cover them all at once.

But I will list the top 3 big reasons.

How To Make Money On Ebay By Buying

Most people think you got to sell on ebay in order to make money. However, there are other ways to make money on ebay other than selling.

One secret way is buying. What do I mean? Read on. That secret method is called ebay arbitrage.

The term arbitrage has been around for a long time. It is a technique used in the stock market by large players who search (with powerful computers in real time) for price discrepancies from one market to another. For example if they see dealers in London trading IBM stock at 1/8th pt lower than in New York, even if it's only for a few seconds, they'll grab it at the lower price and sell it in New York where they'll make an 1/8th pt profit.

So how does that apply to Ebay?
